The Child and Family Education and Support Centre is a safe, inclusive, and welcoming place for students, their parents and carers, teachers, and therapists. The building’s design prioritises safety, with separate entrances, secure playgrounds, and clear access routes. Its layout ensures accessibility for people with disabilities, with natural light in circulation areas and clearly visible stairs and lifts.
The centre’s main area includes a bright, two-storey lobby that connects to various spaces, including an auditorium, a rehabilitation and sports block, and community and counselling centres. Informal integration of students is facilitated by spacious corridors with seating and visible recreational areas. Educational spaces are organised in clusters, promoting interaction.
Despite its extensive functions, the centre’s architecture feels intimate, resembling a small complex surrounded by gardens. It is set within landscaped green spaces, offering a natural environment for children to play. Conveniently located near public transport, the centre is easily accessible by train, bus, or car, with a bus shelter and a dedicated service entrance.
