House in Aleksandrów
Project: House in Aleksandrów
Type: Architecture
Location: Aleksandrów, Warsaw, PL
Size: 130 m²
Team: Marcin Maraszek, Maciej Kaufman, Natalia Janek
Status: Building permission
The house in the former village of Aleksandrów, now part of Warsaw, showcases a playful interpretation of local zoning regulations and suburban architecture. It features a traditional gable roof and is segmented into four distinct sections of varying heights and angles, resembling smaller houses. This fragmentation accommodates different functions: a senior apartment, kitchen, living room, and garage. Its long and narrow layout allows for preserving existing trees. Finished with white plaster and accented with a concrete base and wooden window frames, the structure harmoniously contrasts with the lush greenery.
