The single-family house in the Masurian Lake District is designed to fully engage with its natural setting, featuring a carefully shaped form that maximizes views and space. From the southwest, a balcony opens to wide landscapes, while terraces extend directly from the kitchen and living room, which together form the central, lively heart of the house. Inside, exposed mezzanine beams and roof windows draw light from multiple directions, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout the year.

The house reflects the open character of its owners, fostering an informal atmosphere. Children discover secret hideouts in the attic, and cats balance playfully along beams and railings.

Constructed in timber frame technology, the house reinterprets the archaic forked-post roof structure in a modern way, with its expressive frame clearly visible on the exterior. A sheltered loggia and a suspended terrace connect the house to the lake and surrounding landscape, reinforcing its openness and identity.
