The article explores the transformation of the Warsaw Uprising Mound, once a landfill for postwar rubble, into a public park by the architecture firms Archigrest and Toposcape. The project commemorates the city's destruction during World War II and its subsequent rebuilding. The mound, symbolizing both loss and rebirth, has been reimagined to honor Warsaw's resilience, blending history, memory, and ecology. The park preserves the mound's natural landscape, incorporating rubble fragments as artifacts and fostering biodiversity. This space not only serves as a memorial but also as a living testament to the city's resurgence from the rubble, redefining it as both a place of remembrance and renewal.
